Instructor-led training (5 days)

Audience:
• System Architects
• Application Developers
• Support Staff
• System Administrators

Prerequisites:
• Experience with distributed UNIX systems
• Some networking experience is a plus
• No prior DCE knowledge is assumed

Description:

The course will cover fundamental DCE concepts and the commands and tools used in installing configuring and managing
a DCE environment. The course will focus on the decisions that must be made when planning for a production DCE environment.
Student exercises are included. Syntax of the DCE API. Syntax of Global Directory Service (GDS) commands are *not* included.
Student handouts will include lecture notes, and exercises as well as a concise DCE memory aid. The course is based on OSF's DCE
version 1.1 and is customized for DCE on the AIX platform.
